Back with a bang: The Crew Awards 2022

After three years on ice The Crew Awards are back. Celebrating the brilliant work of our crew, here are the champions making the magic happen.

The sub-zero temperatures never keep our crew down. So when it came to our Crew Awards, taking place on a frosty Thursday evening, EarTHHackney was packed out. No one was going to miss a chance to celebrate being part of the best (and *only* social enterprise) crew team in the business. The crew who went above and beyond to deliver on some of the biggest events last year, such as the Queen’s Jubilee Pageant, Creamfields and more.

Meet the winners, the cheerers and the team who tirelessly delivered our busiest year (ever).

Crew Member of the Year: Dorian Mikulewicz

Our ultimate crew hero, voted for by crew.

The Motivator Award: Billy Brown

Celebrating the crew member whose energy and encouragement consistently motivates the rest of the team.

Best newcomer: Katerina Rinaki

This newcomer has impressed the most since their boots hit the ground.

The Go Getter: Abdulaahi Ibrahim

Beating the drum for the crew member who’s got to grips with crewing and excelled.

Iron Strength: Maddy Roberts

Shout out for the crew member who has the winning combo of stamina and strength.

Absolute Hero: Gerard O’Mahoney

Bossing being the all-round, consistently good crew
member under any circumstances.

Overtime Champion: Cormac Collins

Raising the lid on the person who sticks around to get the job done.

Short-call catcher: Davide Dos Santos Nunes

Coming to the rescue, this crew member delivers the most 2-3 hour shifts.

This Crew Awards was particularly special. It’s the first time we could come back together following the pandemic, and it follows hot-on-the-heels of our busiest year, delivering 3,677 bookings for 436 clients.

Connection Crew is made by the people here, who make it all happen. Here’s to you, our crew. Thank you.
