CrewCam @ ‘best ever’ Beer & Bread Festival

Connection Crew supported the Friends of Windmill Gardens (FoWG) Beer and Bread festival, donating a four person team for the day as part of our #215Fund – we  were delighted to hear that the support we provided helped the FoWG on their way to raising awareness and funds for the fit out of a new education centre that is being built at the windmill.

Jean Kerrigan, Chair of FoWG got in touch to say:

“We had our best ever festival in Windmill Gardens last Monday. We collected over £700 in donations on the day and collected more than 50 pledges for our crowdfunding appeal for the fit-out of our new education building. … We signed up new members of FoWG and our merchandise stall did a roaring trade taking over £1,000 in sales. All in all it was a great day, with good music and a really great atmosphere.

The contribution of your team certainly made all this possible. They were great – really helpful. They made a really big difference to us and ensured that the site was set up in good time. I am attaching a photo of the CC team with Jeff from FoWG at the end of a long day and still looking cheerful!!”

Keep your eyes peeled on the Windmill’s twitter page for the Crowdfunder appeal which will go live in early June.

In the meantime, scroll down for that cheery photo of Artur, Liam, Lincoln and Emily with Jeff by FoWG volunteer Nick, and more from our #CrewCam by Crew Chief Artur Kurissoo.
