Greenwich + Docklands International Festival

Since June 2005 we’ve provided the Greenwich and Docklands International Festival (GDIF) with skilled people – from site managers to set builders – to deliver London’s leading festival of free outdoor performing arts.

The event which takes place across 10-sites, over 10-days attracts more than 100,000 visitors and 100 international companies perform across the Festival every year.

What we do:

  • Provide experienced site managers to oversee logistics and timely delivery of the complex outdoor build which normally covers around 10 sites across several London boroughs

  • Build a range of structures including; stages, tiered seating, truss towers, scenery, scaffolding structures and bespoke performance items

  • Provide manual handlers, set-builders, fork and scissor lift operators

  • Liaise with international companies to ensure that their experience in the UK festival market meets the high standards that such a leading global festival commands

“Connection Crew’s experience and enthusiasm means that they not only deliver quality on production builds, but also enable us to present challenging outdoor arts productions to exceptional standards for artists and audiences alike.

Our projects -Greenwich+Docklands International Festival and Liberty/National Paralympic Day for example – require a huge amount of attention to detail, but we also need our suppliers to maintain an eye on the bigger picture.

We think of Connection Crew as more of a partner than a supplier because that’s how they’ve always approached our work with us.”
