Building back from Bermondsey

Now the dust has settled, we’re pleased to formally announce that we’ve relocated from Brixton to Bermondsey.

The last 18 months have been difficult for everyone, but particularly for the events industry. Tough decisions have been made along the way. One of those tough decisions was to move premises, leaving our good friends and neighbours in Brixton. We’re now operating from a former laundry on St James’s Road in Bermondsey, which we’ve completely refitted with help from our talented crewing team.

Though we were reluctant to move, we’ve embraced the fresh start as we build back. We’re already embedding some of the objectives from our NetZero strategy, such as choosing a fully renewable energy provider, and we were really pleased to use Paint 360 products to decorate the new building.

As the events industry gradually comes back online, we’re looking forward to forging new community links and friendships with likeminded businesses, charities and individuals. Most importantly though, we’re recruiting on an ongoing basis to meet demand, and hope to attract new crew members from within the borough.

We were sad to leave Brixton, where we were active members of a really vibrant arts community,” says Director Warren Rogers, “but we’re excited to meet our new neighbours and bring some of the good work we did through our 215 Fund – where we provided a number of skilled (hu)man hours for free to support community events and installations – to Southwark.”

We also can’t wait to discover the talent on our doorstep,” he says, “and will be proactively working to attract new recruits from the local area.”

We’d love to see you, so please get in touch to find out more about our organisation, what we do and the jobs we are actively recruiting for at present here: info@connectioncrew.co.uk.
